I regret to inform all my loyal browsers that this website has been closed down, at least in the area of active updates, (no shock there really, just an official statement finally). It will serve as an archive of my work until such time that I choose to take it down or replace it. Hopefully the later will come true at some later date, wish me luck.

Commission Opportunities!
There have been many people who have been waiting for me to run another commission auction. Well, I have some time to do another commission or two, and so I shall! BUT, I won’t be doing an auction. *grins* This time, you have a chance, more than one actually, at winning a commission from me! And there’s more, read below.


Firstly... a call for help: Brianne’s Art Raffle.

My good friend Brianne is holding a fund raising raffle to help her mother out of a very desperate and unfair situation. The raffle is for artwork commissions from 40+different artists, myself included, with over 50 prizes overall. Just ONE five dollar raffle ticket buys you a chance at one of the 50 different prizes, including a commission from me! AND you can buy multiple tickets! Second... a call for participants: Dragoness’ Creative Contest!

Some people mat be aware that I am running an art contest over at Gaia Online. Well, I’ve extended the deadline to the end of October and opened up the contest to people outside of Gaia.

How does that work, you ask?

Well, I've added alternative prizes so that people outside of Gaia will have a reason to participate, and a reward for doing so. The top three winners will receive their choice of the Gaia item (October, November and December letters respectively) OR a commission from me (color, ink, and sketch respectively). Sadly I can't offer an art alternative for ALL 34 prizes, (I think I'd kill myself trying @_@;; ) BUT, I'm willing to offer DeviantArt or LiveJournal subscriptions to people who are NOT active Gaia users that win the lesser prizes. The subscription duration will depend on the level of prize won, so the higher the prize value the longer the subscription. (precise details on this will be worked out later) Don’t forget hat the Viewer’s Choice prize is also artwork from me!!

The only hitch is that you have to turn in your entry in the thread at Gaia Online. Sadly I WILL lose track of your entry if you don’t (it’s happened already, sadly enough XP). This requires you to register at Gaia, so you can post your entry in the contest thread. However, it’s free to join and you’re under no obligation to use your account any further, with the exception of me using it to initiate communication should you win a prize!

And lastly-- don't forget-- this contest isn't just for art, it's for writing and other creative outlets. Whatever you're good at - be it scuply, plushies, flash animations, you name it, I wanna see it! Let's get it ON, people!!

Art Contest @ Gaia Online!
Attention Gaians!! I'm running a HUGE Art Contest over at Gaia Online! I've chosen 11 of my original characters to feature and the prize hoard is worth over 1 MILLION gold! There's 34 different categories that entries can be eligible for and the grand prize is an October Donation Letter (your choice of a Devil Tail or Angelic Sash) worth 330,000 gold!

The contest deadline is August 31, 2004. I've been saving up for months for this so I hope there's a good turn out! So please, participate and/or help spread the word! I will LOOOOVE you for it!!!

Oh, and if you don't know what Gaia is, why not go and sign-up?! XD I get good stuff if you do, wooooo~o!!


In other news... I am slowly working through the Guest art update. But damn, there's over 50 images to add!! :O So yes, I AM working on an update for this. I know it's been WAY too long! In the meantime, there's new art over on my DA page.

100,000 Kiriban
Yes, I finally gave in an decided to do a kiriban for this! First person to send me proof of the 100,00K hit mark (IE, a screencap) I'll do one request pic for. Any single character you want, nothing too nasty, background & other details decided by me. To be delivered at my convenience.


I wasn't originally going to do this because I have SOOO much to do already, but damnit, I want to show some gratitude to all you people who keep coming back. So sorry for the late notice, it really snuck up on me!!! :O

Ooooh, and to screencap - hit Alt+Print Screen, then paste that into a new image file in Paint, Photoshop, etc. E-mail it to me at dragoness AT ladyofdragons DOT com

Drawing Contests!


Jorie submissions are now up for viewing on the MOB:TWC page, so if go take a peek and cast a vote if you like!


Lady luck smiled down upon me and I managed to win the October MAG-DX drawing contest with this entry I made for Dolphin-girl. So my character Jorie is now the featured character for December, and Justice has changed the rules so now anyone can enter!! (the eligibility rules used to be more strict) So if you like Jorie and have ever considered doing some gift art for me, now might be a good time to do it, and enter the contest at the same time!


Hmm, I guess that all for now, remember that you can poke around my junk directory and see new stuff I’ve been working on before I post it to the site!

I’m working on the new art update… I SWEAR!!!! =O

The current admins of MOB have done me a wonderful honor and asked me to provide a character for the start of their new monthly, MOB:TWC. (for those that don't know, I'm one of the original founders of MOB) So if any of you are MOB winners, run over to the MOB:TWC and draw Jorie for me!!!

I also entered MAG-DX this month, but voting is almost over otherwise I tell you all to vote for your favorite. Well, wish me luck anyways!! =3

Okay, on to other stuff. Because I'm a bum who sucks at updating, I've created a junk folder where I've thrown pretty much all the art that I've had lying around for the past year or so, that isn't up on this site. You can find it here; feel free to pick through it at your leisure. So, even if I do put off actually updating the site for a while longer, at least you get to see the art ahead of time. XP
